In this episode, we discuss the origin of life again and how many are trying to bring it in from outer space, because we certainly can't produce it here on the prebiotic earth!

The Fermi Paradox — Where Are All The Aliens? (1/2)
Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell 📤 3 years ago 2015-05-06
The universe is unbelievably big – trillions of stars and even more planets. Soo… there just has to be life out there, right? But where is it? Why don’t we see any aliens? Where are they? And more importantly, what does this tell us about our own fate in this gigantic and scary universe?

Videos, explaining things. Like evolution, time, space, global energy or our existence in this strange universe.
We are a team of designers, journalists and musicians who want to make science look beautiful. Because it is beautiful.

Dr. Robert Hazen of the Carnegie Institution for Science ( http://hazen.gl.ciw.edu/ ) will discuss evidence about the origins of life almost 4 billion years ago. Dr. Hazen is author of Genesis: The Scientific Quest for Life's Origins; as well as The Story of Earth: The First 4.5 Billion Years, from Stardust to Living Planet, and many other books and articles. How did the hydrogen that formed soon after the Big Bang 13.82 billion years ago, the carbon and oxygen forged in stars at least 5 billion years ago, and other elements and molecules combine to form the first life on earth?

`The Greatest Hoax on Earth` summary of book by Dr. Jonathan Sarfati`The Greatest Hoax on Earth` summary of book by Dr. Jonathan Sarfati
"The Greatest Hoax on Earth" summary of book by Dr. Jonathan Sarfati
Truthseeker 📤 6 years ago 2012-08-29
"The Greatest Hoax on Earth" meets Dawkins' "The Greatest Show on Earth" head-on. Dr Sarfati firmly and comprehensively answers Dawkins' challenge, chapter after chapter, covering a vast range of disciplines in his trademark crisp, clear style. He convincingly shows, for those with ears to hear, that to believe the Bible's account of Creation/Fall/Redemption straightforwardly not only does not commit intellectual suicide, it is if anything the intellectually superior position.
http://creation.com/the-greatest-hoax-on-earth/main.php

Some free chapters are available at the above link.

Jonathan D. Sarfati, Ph.D, F.M., was born in Ararat, Australia, in 1964. He moved to New Zealand as a child, where he later studied mathematics, geology, physics, and chemistry at Victoria University in Wellington. He obtained honors level in physical and inorganic chemistry, as well as in condensed matter physics and nuclear physics.

Dr Sarfati received his Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the same institution in 1995 on the topic of spectroscopy, especially vibrational. He has co-authored various technical papers on such things as high temperature superconductors and sulfur- and selenium-containing ring and cage molecules.

REVIEWS
"I lost my Evolution Faith when I was being taught by London University's Professor J.Z. Young, FRS, arguably the greatest Darwinian evolutionist of the 20th Century. I have since been waiting for a 21st Century genius to prove that the Darwinian Evolution Emperor has no clothes. Jonathan Sarfati is that genius as you can see from this his latest masterpiece. With an astonishing array of scientific references, Sarfati has demonstrated that he is far and away the better debater than Richard Dawkins, one of those I described elsewhere as 'whistling in the dark to keep their scientific courage up'. Read it, and re-read it!"
Dr Felix Konotey-Ahulu (a world authority on sickle cell anemia) is Kwegyir Aggrey Distinguished Professor of Human Genetics, University of Cape Coast, Ghana, and Former Consultant Physician Genetic Counsellor, Cromwell Hospital, London.

"Any rational debate requires the honest presentation of both sides. But there exists a powerful, self-styled 'intellectual elite' which would deny us the right to consider all the evidence. They would have a debate wherein only one side was heard, while the other side was either ignored or grossly misrepresented. It is crucial that all honest truth-seekers who read Dawkins'book The Greatest Show on Earth also read Jonathan Sarfati's book The Greatest Hoax on Earth?."
John Sanford Ph.D., Courtesy Associate Professor, Dept. of Horticultural Sciences, Cornell University. (John is a pioneer of genetic engineering and inventor of the 'gene gun')

"I have been singularly blessed by Jonathan's writing. His Refuting Evolution and By Design rank up there with the best of the creationist literature. This work, however, surely tops them all. Sarfati's crisp, incisive no-holds-barred approach is a fearsome weapon, and Dawkins may rue the day he decided to challenge Christianity to a duel on origins. The Greatest Hoax on Earth? is an excellent rebuttal to the best evolution has to offer. The reader should walk away with the understanding that evolutionary theory is a house of cards and its chief spokesmen are promoting poor, illogical, and false arguments against the only viable alternative: biblical creation."
Robert Carter, Ph.D. in Marine Biology and Genetics (University of Miami)

"Dawkins is living in a fantasy world and attributing non-natural power to natural selection to support his case about evolution. Sarfati does a brilliant job of exposing the shallowness in Dawkins' reasoning and the absurdities of Dawkins' claims . to demonstrate why evolution is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated in the guise of reason and science."
John Baumgardner, Ph.D. in Geophysics (UCLA), for many years a research scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

The documentary is a way of poetry referring to the beginning of time and hoping to make this the first of many more to come, covering the entire message of the book. Footage from the world's natural wonders declare the glory of God. Like the Beginning there will also be an end to this series covering the Book of Revelation and God's message. Hope you enjoy and forgive my inconsistency of High Res footage. This will improve eventually! Thank You for watching! Yah Bless!
