Baked this baby in the Gozney Dome pizza oven, and it came out better than my regular oven 🤣 Quick disclaimer, the wonderful people at Gozney agreed to send us the Pizza Dome so we can have some fun testing recipes that wouldn't typically be baked outside of a regular oven. This one is completely left of field, but I have been dying to try out this Gozney Dome, and thought I would create an unboxing video since there are only a handful of these on YouTube and all I could do was watch the same ones over and over again lmao! So I am adding to the pool of available videos on the topic ;) this is also completely relevant to the cake decorating side of this channel, since I plan on creating and testing lots of delicious recipes in this oven. Rotate after 25 minutes,reheat the dome back up to 200 degrees Celsius if needed, and bake for an additional half an hour. Repeat the reheating method if the banana bread needs a little more time to bake, or until a skewer inserted through the middle comes out clean.

Butterfly Wave Cake Design Tutorial Rosie's Dessert Spot 2023-05-01 | OUR CAKE DECORATING COURSE: https://vimeo.com/rosiesdessertspot/vod_pagesWhen at first you don't succeed, try and try again ;) The trick to this cake is to use a super hot metal scraper to draw in your waves. By the time you achieve that smooth finish you are after, your buttercream would have likely began to set against the chilled crumb-coated cake. When you move in to create waves after this point, the buttercream catches on your spatula or scraper, and this creates little bubbles and frilly sections on the edges of your wave. To remedy this, use a nice hot metal scraper or spatula tho glide through the setting buttercream, and this will render an even, pristine and clean finish. Enjoy! This edible art is dedicated to my gorgeous friend Saswati who is expecting a gorgeous little girl. Making the chocolates from scratch was very easy with this silicone mould. I mentioned in the video that I added vegetable oil to the chocolate- this is purely to help make the cutting process easier and reduce the risk of the chocolate cracking and breaking apart when I try to cut it. Cartoon Cake Challenge with @BakeBites Rosie's Dessert Spot 2023-03-30 | So the wonderfully talented Maria of @BakeBites and I decided to try out this cartoon cake challenge, whereby I drew a cake for her to replicate, and vice versa. What a fun and delectable challenge it was! I wish my buttercream finish were a little smoother, but in general, these types of cartoon cakes do look more convincing when it is created with fondant. I mentioned in the video that I added vegetable oil to the chocolate- this is purely to help make the cutting process easier and reduce the risk of the chocolate cracking and breaking apart when I try to cut it. Simple Gourmet Cake Decorating At Home- Swirled Chocolate Plaques Rosie's Dessert Spot 2023-02-10 | Hot tip- create your swirls over a warm baking tray by hovering the tray over a bowl or a smaller tray filled with hot water. This will give you lots of time to work and twirl your chocolate together to achieve the perfect level of swirl you are looking for, without worrying about your chocolate setting too quickly on you. I like to use compound chocolate for this as it sets up beautifully. You can let it set at room temp or stick it into the freezer as I did to speed up the process. Enjoy! Two Valentine's Day Cake Creations- Nature inspired Rosie's Dessert Spot 2023-02-07 | Buttercream cakes can easily be jazzed up with fondant decor, without needing to go overboard with the fondant. I have heard many times over that fondant isn't everyones favourite cup of tea. I only really use it to make the cakes look fancy, but I always cut it off when it comes to serving time so nobody ends up with a mouthful of fondant. Basic Floral Piping Valentines Day Cake Rosie's Dessert Spot 2023-02-03 | Create this sweet nugget of a cake using the #104 piping tip and the #352 piping tip. We also used a bit of fondant for the heart and a few edible silver pearls. Enjoy :D For a super white frosting, replace the butter with more vegetable shortening. White modelling chocolate recipe:375 grams white chocolate110 grams corn syrupDark modelling chocolate:375 grams dark chocolate180 grams corn syrupMelt chocolate in microwave, and gently fold in corn syrup until the mixture starts to look as though its splitting. Stop immediately when it comes off the sides of the bowl with ease, and the mixture looks like it wants to curdle / split. Wrap it up in plastic food wrap, and set at room temperature overnight. Literally that easy :D the next day, you may need to cut it up and microwave for 5 to 10 seconds and knead it into a pliable consistency. Make your Cakes Look Boutique Worthy with Chocolate Collars and Modelling Chocolate Rosie's Dessert Spot 2023-01-24 | Going a little extra with this weeks tutorial- here we have a delicious marbled chocolate collar and chocolate ruffles! The ruffles were created with modelling chocolate (recipes below, although they will also be featuring in our recipe book coming out soon!) and the chocolate collar was created with vegetable oil and white chocolate. How to Make a Simple Minions Cake Rosie's Dessert Spot 2023-01-19 | This week I made a little creation for a family friend- as simple and basic as it gets, just a sweet white chocolate ganache drip design with yellow buttercream :) super duper simple and easy to replicate. We found the pineapple shaped lollies within a mixed party bag of Allen’s lollies (I stood there in Coles for 15 minutes, comparing each lollies packet and counting how many pineapples I could see in each bag. The most I counted was 9, that was the clear winner… Does anyone else do this when they need to find specific shaped lollies in a mixed shaped lollie bag? Haha!)Enjoy!
