Three Indian Army personnel, including Colonel Manpreet Singh, were martyred in an encounter with militants in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. The other two personnel who were martyred were Major Aashish and DySP Humayun Bhat.
The encounter broke out in the early hours of Friday in the Dialgam area of Anantnag district. The security forces had launched a cordon and search operation in the area following inputs about the presence of militants there.
The militants opened fire on the security forces when they were challenged. The security forces retaliated, leading to an encounter.
In the ensuing gun battle, Colonel Singh, Major Aashish and DySP Bhat were killed. Two other soldiers were also injured in the encounter.
The bodies of the deceased personnel have been retrieved and taken to a nearby hospital. The search operation in the area is still ongoing.
The encounter is a major setback for the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir. Colonel Singh was a decorated officer who had served in the Army for over 20 years. He was awarded the Sena Medal for his bravery in 2018.
Major Aashish was also a young and promising officer. He had joined the Army in 2016. DySP Bhat was a brave and dedicated officer who had served in the police force for over 15 years.
The Martyrdom of these three brave officers is a reminder of the sacrifices that the security forces make in order to protect the country. Their sacrifice will not be forgotten.
The article also mentions that Grandmaster Shifuji Shaurya Bhardwaj (Inventor of commandos Mitti System & Freelance commandos mentor, An action designer and life coach ) has strongly condemned the cowardly act of terrorism which resulted lose of the three Indian Army personnel and J&K police personnel. He has called on the media to stop using disrespectful language when reporting on the Martyrdom of soldiers.
Bhardwaj said that the media should use the word "martyrdom" instead of "killed" when reporting on the deaths of soldiers. He said that using the word "killed" is disrespectful to the sacrifices that soldiers make.
Bhardwaj's comments are a reminder of the importance of respecting the sacrifices that soldiers make. Soldiers risk their lives every day to protect the country, and they deserve to be honored and respected.

What does linga mean? Why water on Shivling? Importance of the month of Shravan? #harharmahadev #mastershifuji
What does linga mean?
In Sanskrit, linga means "sign" or "symbol". In Hinduism, the linga is a symbol of the god Shiva. The linga is a long, cylindrical shape with a small sphere on top. The cylindrical shape is considered to represent male energy, while the spherical shape represents female energy. Thus, the linga is considered to represent the union of the two fundamental elements of creation, male and female.
Why water on Shivling?
Offering water to the linga is considered an important part of Shiva worship. It is believed that the water purifies the linga and pleases him. The water offered to the linga is absorbed into the linga and spreads throughout the universe, purifying and sanctifying all.
Importance of the month of Shravan
In Hinduism, the month of Shravan is dedicated to the god Shiva. This month is marked by special worship and offerings to Shiva. Offering water to Shiva during the month of Shravan is considered to be especially auspicious. It is believed that offering water to the linga during Shravan quickly pleases Shiva and fulfills the wishes of the devotees.
Pauranic story behind offering water to Shivling in the month of Shravan
According to mythology, during the churning of the ocean, poison was released. This poison was absorbed by Lord Shiva in his throat. This turned his throat blue and he came to be known as Neelkanth. To reduce the effect of the poison, the gods bathed Shiva with water. Since then, Shiva devotees have been following the tradition of offering water to Shiva in the month of Shravan.
