Railfan Adventures of 2021 (Pat Metheny - Last Train Home) Riggs64 2022-09-07 | 2021 was definitely one of my best years railfanning. I got to explore new places, meet new acquaintances, and got to watch many friendly crews roll along the rails. CSX - Office Car Special (P001) Riggs64 2022-06-14 | A couple of months ago the CSX OCS train was making its rounds the whole system. I missed a really good recording spot at one of the bends in Valrico, but they beat me to the area. So off to the Winston Wye.If you are wondering why I had my first shot split on two, my phone overheated and died. I had my other phone recording from another position. The last clip is from a Cannon T3 that I was experimenting with for the first time.
CSX Spirits of Units Riggs64 2022-06-13 | Last year CSX started running their three special heritage units 1776, 911 & 3194. I decided to catch them on their first few nights traveling the rails of Florida. Love the little horn show that the engineer of 911 gave. Each clip is a different Q442.For those wondering, the shot taken at the Dade City platform was before they removed the track side lighting.
Plant City Railfanning - Amtrak Heritage Car & CN Power Riggs64 2022-06-12 | These shots were taken about 1 or 2 years ago. When to Plant City to catch Q442. That day in particular I was hoping to catch the Canadian Pacific heritage units as a few made its way down to Florida, but sadly the power was switched out for Canadian National units. Still not a bad catch. That day I also got to catch Amtrak 92 roll by with 4 units, a heritage car and a friendly crew.

Teco Streetcar & Amtrak Confusion Riggs64 2020-03-25 | So when riding in the streetcar I was listening to the radio to see if anything interesting was going on. Apparently Amtrak 91 had a small fire? Couldn't really make it out that good. There was also just straight up confusion with why 91 stopped right before the interlock, even being confused why Amtrak tried waving them through a red signal.
Tampa Bay's Teco Streetcar System Riggs64 2020-03-25 | This is a fantastic little treat for anyone in the Tampa Bay area. Be sure to check out the Teco Streetcar Line where we have replica streetcars, one original Briney car, and one open air car. Sadly their days are limited as they might get replaced by modern ones. Who knows maybe they might keep them. Also while on the streetcar we where also stopped by Amtrak that had a little trouble. Check out the next incoming video on the radio talk. Its pretty interesting.
Steam at the FRRM & other equipment (Jeddo Coal No. 85 Visits) Riggs64 2020-03-24 | Finally got to go to the Florida Railroad Museum in Parrish. First time seeing a steam locomotive outside of an amusement park actually running. The last time this engine was here was about 10 years ago so this was a must to go see. The museum is also making big plans restoring many locomotives and making a new station. The staff are some of the friendliest people you will meet too. Robert E. Wiliford Museum - Plant City Riggs64 2020-03-22 | I did forget to take some pictures of the equipment here. This place is a must for all railfans to visit. There is so much in this little museum to see and read about. The icing on the cake is the train viewing platform. It gives you a view like no other over a very active section that sees trains about every hour or so. Trains of Plant City Riggs64 2020-03-20 | Back in Plant City again to watch Amtrak 91 from New York to Tampa. It was such a beautiful day that was not too hot or humid.The day I filmed this the Virtual Railfan PTZ Camera was sprung to life again after a few hurricanes. Trains of Tampa Bay Riggs64 2020-03-19 | Just a bunch of random clips of trains in the area. All of these trains are just locals or doing yard duties. All clips where recorded in Tampa and Plant City.Fore those railfans who are curious, Plant City has a train viewing platform and a small museum. It's a really cool place to hang out at. Trains almost 24/7. The place even has the Virtual Railfan Camera.
Restoring Railroad Spikes Riggs64 2020-03-18 | So one day I was in my parents car making our way home along the Brooksville Subdivision and noticed that CSX replace some ties and litterally left all the tie plates, spikes, parts of rails, etc. I decided to go get some spikes to hang on my wall and thought this would be a cool short video to make on cleaning these things up. The spike that was left in the rust remover was from the Florida Railroad Museum which needed ALOT more work. Anyways enjoy.
Pride of Pensacola - Frisco 1355 Riggs64 2020-03-17 | So a while ago I had a family reunion and surprisingly this old behemoth was sitting in the middle of the city. This old machine looks like its pretty good condition still, especially for an engine outside next to the ocean with the harsh salty air. This engine apparently was also once a 2-8-0 Consolidation before the back truck was added. Busch Gardens - Serengeti Express No. 9 Riggs64 2020-03-17 | Hey guys im back one again with quite a bit of videos. Got this short clip of Serengeti Express No. 9 running around the park.Crazy story while I was there with a few friends. We where just chilling around one of the crossings and this lady was filming with her child right in place where the gates come down. We thought it would suck if a train came through there... Aaaand it did. The gates came down on her making her drop her iPad that she was filming with and separated her from her kid in a stroller on the other side of the gates. The train was going under 10mph so it had no problem stopping. No one was hurt.
