Strict Muscle UP progression #1 - Strict Pull to the chest teamcrossfitusa 2014-07-22 | starting off the floor, pull your body up, while achieving tight "hollow" position so that the body is in an incline angle in order to bring the ring to the bottom of the chest easier than to pull straight up.
Muscle up progression #5 - Bent arm muscle up teamcrossfitusa 2014-07-22 | Only do this if you are able to do progressions #1 - 4 with great form and stability. The goal here is to achieve a muscle up by shorting the range of the motion of the pull to make it easier. Once you are able to do this, you will be able to continually straighten your arms more and more.
Muscle up progression #4 - jumping muscle up teamcrossfitusa 2014-07-22 | Only perform this if you are able to do progressions #1-3 with great form and stability. Make sure to jump and land at the bottom of the dip position.
Muscle up progression #3 - Strict transition work teamcrossfitusa 2014-07-22 | Starting at the bottom of the dip position with the thumbs touching the side of your chest, slowly lean back while keeping the hands touching the chest at all time. This is a very slow and strict movement to build that static strength in the transition.
Muscle up progression #1 - Shoot through to dip teamcrossfitusa 2014-07-22 | Start at the bottom dip position again, lean back (like a ring row) while maintaining a false grip. Once you are leaning back, pull up quick as possible and land in the bottom dip position again. Than perform the negative dip (up and down).
Muscle up progression #1 - Ring dip negative teamcrossfitusa 2014-07-22 | Negative dips -- Before starting this, make sure they can hold the support position with arms locked out.• Start at the very bottom of the dip position /elbows below shoulders. Feet directly under the rings.• Drive up or jump up to full lock out than come back down to bottom of the dip position as slowly as possible.
Team CrossFit - Negative Pull up teamcrossfitusa 2014-07-22 | Negative pull up -- be sure to set up so that you can jump and clear the chin over the bar. Than be sure to go down as slow as you can until the arms are straight achieving full range of motion(bend the knees/legs if you are low to the ground).
Team CrossFit - Banded STRICT pull up teamcrossfitusa 2014-07-22 | Banded STRICT pull up (use the correct band for 5 reps max effort). If you are not strong enough to use one of the thinner bands, you should regress down to ring rows.

We had over 30 members giving it their all in 3 workout bonanza and it was so cool to see each and every one of you compete and do it for your very 1st time for most of you! All of the staff and coaches are very happy and thankful of the Team CrossFit family and friends and we wish all of you a happy and wonderful holiday season. To end, we want to post why our community is the best. Here's how we ended our competition - a dance off! That is how we roll! No egos, no attitude, just plain old good hearted wonderful people coming together to create this community called Team CrossFit.
