The goal here is to achieve a muscle up by shorting the range of the motion of the pull to make it easier. Make sure to jump and land at the bottom of the dip position.Muscle up progression #3 - Strict transition workteamcrossfitusa2014-07-22 | Starting at the bottom of the dip position with the thumbs touching the side of your chest, slowly lean back while keeping the hands touching the chest at all time. This is a very slow and strict movement to build that static strength in the transition.Muscle up progression #1 - Shoot through to dipteamcrossfitusa2014-07-22 | Start at the bottom dip position again, lean back (like a ring row) while maintaining a false grip. Once you are leaning back, pull up quick as possible and land in the bottom dip position again. Than perform the negative dip (up and down).Muscle up progression #1 - Ring dip negativeteamcrossfitusa2014-07-22 | Negative dips -- Before starting this, make sure they can hold the support position with arms locked out. • Start at the very bottom of the dip position /elbows below shoulders.
