My fastest upper is a 10.04, but I barely didn't reach the chao unfortunately. The god run for this IL is looking like a 9.9x, I really can't see it going much lower than that and one day it would be incredible to see!SA2 - Hidden Base M5 in 1:20.89chainchump2023-08-08 | Pretty solid run, only tiny timelosses came from breaking the doors and the extra hover before hitting the spring. All runs are pretty good with all of them being within 0.1 of each with no repeating times. I have no doubt 24 is possible, but this trick is so inconsistent and difficult I'd be happy with these times forever. My total time spent here was just under 8 hours, and in that time I got instawarp 11 times which honestly isn't bad at all, except when I got it 3 times in 10 minutes then nothing for nearly two hours lol.SA2 - Iron Gate M1/4 in 0:56.10chainchump2023-07-21 | I always seem to struggle with the clipout on this stage. Couldn't quite go fast enough for the 55, but I still managed to get back into top 5. Getting a sub 37 here is really solid, but can definitely be improved. I tried an alternate strat in using the first loop speed to skip a few rings, but you can only afford to miss 2 in the entire run and it makes the whole thing so much harder. Unsure how much time it would save, but I'm sure it will be faster by a few tenths.SA2 - Security Hall M1 in 0:03.94chainchump2023-07-05 | Finally got round to getting a run using the phantom piece strat. If you destroy an enmy with omochao, the emerald stays uncollected as long as you remain in the level. If you die or restart and the emerald appears in the same enemy again, you're able to collect it like normal! Collecting it any other time makes it disappear and you'll have to do the setup again. This run is actually pretty good considering I didn't use any pause strats. Ths is so much better than playing the PAL version lol.SA2 - Death Chamber M3 in 0:16.55chainchump2023-07-04 | Decided to come back to this to try for WR and got it by 3 frames. The camera not cooperating makes them a little more difficult than they should be, but overall there is some enjoyable platforming to be found. I've never played a Silent Hill game before so I don't really know if this level is an accurate depiction of them lol.SM64 - The Bully Fortress (Savestateless)chainchump2023-06-22 | I've been playing through a lot of old hacks from SirRouven's hack pack to fill out my profile on Romhacking.com and came across this one. The first five stars could barely be considered Kaizo, but star 6 and the 100 coins introduced some very annoying jumps which definitely ramp up the difficulty. I'd consider this more of bad level design than a good kaizo, but at least I got all 7 stars without savestates!SA2 - Weapons Bed M1 in 1:19.67chainchump2023-06-16 | Solid run overall, my best time for check 1 is 9.34 and I got a 1:00.02 last check in a failed run. Ending was pretty slow though. Could see this going to a low 1:19, MAYBE 1:18 with a checkless run which bypasses the metal boxes with the awful camera. Odds of that happening are very slim though, but you never know with this game and the people that run it :)Kaizo Mario 64 - 120 Star Playthrough (Savestateless)chainchump2023-05-09 | This is a 120 star playthough of Kaizo Mario 64 completed entirely without savestates by me. They were only used at the beginning of every star and then edited together into one seamless playthough. I recorded this in between attempts of doing Hero Story, but overall it didn't take very long. If this was an RTA attempt, it'd just come under 2 hours 30 minutes, about 7 minutes faster than the world record. I'm by no means that good at speedrunning Mario 64 in general, but I thought this was pretty cool.
Considering this was the first ever kaizo hack all the way back from 2009, I honestly didn't find it too bad at all. Sure there are a couple of really janky bits of level design, but the entire hack as a whole was alright. The bowser stages and TTC were probably the hardest parts, but even then it wasn't anything like I've beaten already. More Hero runs to come in the future, but now I'll be focusing on Tears of the Kingdom for the next several weeks!SA2B - Hero Story Speedrun in 24:05.93chainchump2023-04-25 | 49 second PB but still some obvious mistakes here and there. This was the last thing I needed to do in terms of practice so now I'll be focusing on Hero Story. Not sure how long I want to run it for, but I'll at least try for a 23/22. Any PB I get I'll upload here but I won't be streaming at any point. I hope you understand!

I was cleaning up my videos a while back and must have accidentally deleted it. This video is a recreation of that glitch and some things you can do in the short time it's active.
The results screen glitch only seems to work on the Gamecube version when played on PAL50. On any other version and even PAL60, it only seems like you can get a black screen which is a softlock. I explore a few scenarios that you can do with this glitch, included actvating the chao kew glitch to reach the test level.SA2 - Wild Canyon M1 in 0:00.77chainchump2022-12-25 | I feel extremely bittersweet about this run. It's great because it's the worlds first completion of a 3/3 spawn displacement run, but that P1 is so dissappointing because I got unlucky with "birdbox RNG". You can see Knuckle's freeze in place for a few frames when breaking it, which resulted in me losing 6 frames in total (and I paused 2 frames late) I really wanted to beat the WR with these strats but ended up tying it. I got this run nearly two days ago and tried so long to beat this, but this is easily one of the hardest IL's to do now due to so many frame perfect inputs, particularly getting the spawn displacement for P1 and P2. To give a bit of context, I collected P2 at 8:01pm on the 22nd of December, and collected P1 at 1:43am on the 24th of December. I left the game running overnight and whilst I went to work so that I could continue the attempt in the evening. During P1 practice, I got a 0.25 as my best time, so my best piece times add up to 0.62, which is probably very close to the true human limit for this stage. This run could have been a 0.6X but again the birdbox really screwed me over. Haven't had any motivation to play this game for a while but since this was chosen for this week's IL in the IL Competition I wanted to try it for a few hours to improve on my almost 5 year old PB when I got the first ever sub 1 second. I might try this again one day to save those last 2 frames, but honestly this is very taxing on the hands and I am relatively happy with this. At present, it's a 3 way WR tie, which to my knowledge is a first for SA2 IL WR's!King Boos Revenge X: 160 Star Playthrough (Savestateless)chainchump2022-12-01 | This is a full 160 Star playthrough of the Kaizo Hack: King Boo's Revenge X. All stars were completed by myself without the use of savestates. These were only used to explore the levels and practice each star. In my opinion, this is the best Kaizo Hack I've played so far and was a really great experience from start to end. It was also the hardest hack I've played overall but I don't a single star was harder than Crudelo Reds since there are no red coin or 100 coin stars. There were so many unique and challenging stars in this hack and one thing I liked the most is that hardly any stars are set along the same path, so each one is a different experience than the last. My favourite course overall is probably Course 13 and is a great example of this. It took me a little over 3 weeks to complete this hack and I decided to upload it as a full video instead of 25. It was a real pain to edit everything and took way longer than needed, but I'm very happy with the finished result! With version 4.0 just being released, I decided to make a follow up video! This time I decided to put all the clips in chronological order and I thought the use of Star Display and Input Display make the viewing experince a little nicer to watch overall. I originally had plans to upload the whole playthrough, but it ended up being recording in six parts and Rainbow Ride 100 Coins took over 6 hours to get. I could always edit together each successful attempt at every star to show the entire playthrough if that is something people would like to see. I still have the recordings but it would take a long time to edit everything but I think it could be fun!

Sub 1 should definitely possible here too but I played the ending super safe due to running very low on lives.SA2 - Green Forest M3 in 0:40.22chainchump2022-06-06 | Pretty solid overall, I think I could have subbed 40 though if the last section went a little better, but I got it on the life right after the checkpoint. I also hit the first checkpoint on the final frame before the fadeout which was pretty cool. I did a couple more runs after this which ended with a 40.44 and 40.25 so I'll take this for now. Hopefully one day sub 40 will be achieved!

I had been grinding this stage for almost 3 weeks to achieve this time and today I finally made it reality. I am really happy with this run. Sections 1 & 2 were both 0.1 from my best times, but sections 3 & 4 were both the fastest I had ever done them. I practiced each section for so many hours in order to achieve this run. Sub 1:00 wasn't my original goal, but as I played more, I got a lot more consistent at all the strats and my check times started to come down until my best checks surpassed sub 1:01 and ultimately sub 1:00, which proved that with enough effort I would be able to achieve it. I hope you guy enjoy the run, I'm really proud of being the first person to achieve the sub! This can definitely be lowered though, I wouldn't even be surprised if 58 happens in the near future.SA2 - Final Rush (Restricted) in 1:44.95chainchump2022-05-08 | Very fun IL. Restricted essentially bans any Out of Bounds skips, including the one at the end of the stage as well as others varyng from stage to stage. Wallrun is still allowed for this category since yo'u're still within the bounds of the stage and following the intended path. This run iself is very good. 59.39 is currently my best check time but my last section could have been better by a few tenths at least. A low 1:44 or even 1:43 should be achieveable!SA2 - Final Rush M3 in 1:19.89chainchump2022-05-04 | My goal of a 1:19 has finally been achieved. First section and wallrun was really clean, but the second section could have been a little better. I finally beat Night of Doom 100% savestateless! I had a lot of fun playing this hack, and it feels good having another full kaizo hack under my belt. I feel like I'm definitely improving my skills in SM64 and I'd love to do more hacks in the future. This stage wasn't too bad since you can skip some of the really difficult platform sections with clever use of the cap boxes and stars 3-6 were really easy. I'll probably return to SA2B first, it's been almost 6 months and I'm slowly getting my motivation back! The hardest stage in Night of Doom beaten without savestates! The overall difficulty of this hack is pretty consistent throughout, but course 15 definitely undergoes a big spike. I wouldn't say it is as hard as Crudelo Reds, but it is definitely very challenging across all 6 stars. By far the easiest main course in the game. Nothing here was difficult at all, except for the secrets for star 3. It was quite refreshing not seeing a single patch of quicksand anywhere which is probably why this wasn't so bad at all. When I played this level before, I remembered it being one of the hardest in the game, but this time around I didn't really have much trouble. Nothing was overall too difficult and it really didn't take too long. I wasn't really a fan of this level. There are a lot of really annoying enemy placements and the overall atmosphere was pretty boring. I will say the concept of going from letter to letter is kinda cool though!
