This is the WiserWands 3rd summer. It's ready for gardeners worldwide! Guaranteed for Life & Guaranteed to Save Water.
I live and garden in Olympia WA. I worked in IT for 34 years before being consumed by the WiserWand. I'm not an engineer or inventor. Just a gardener.
The WiserWand was born from the thought in 2011, “there has to be a better way to water”.
From that day forward, every time I watered, I thought about watering. After 1 year, by accident, I discovered if I loosened the soil with a garden fork prior to watering, the water was absorbed within the root zone.
I watered with a garden fork for 4 years. It worked and saved a ton of water. February 2016, I decided to develop the "watering fork". I needed a welder. Fortunately, Josh replied to my Craigslist Ad.
One month later, I was holding a "watering fork". It wasn't the answer. Through “trial and error” and Josh’s patience the “fork” evolved and on May 27, 2016 the 1st WiserWand prototype was created. I knew it was the answer!
Soon after I founded WiserWatering with the mission to “Save Water in Gardens Worldwide”. It’s not complicated. WiserWatering promotes 3 simple rules.
1.) Fix leaks ASAP.
2.) Water with high-efficiency products.
3.) Teach children to fix leaks and water efficiently.
Kids are key and school gardens are the perfect classroom. This is why WiserWatering donates 5% of profits to “grow school gardens” worldwide. Every school deserves a garden.
Thanks,
Tom

Watering & gardening are better together... Remember don't set the WiserWand down, poke it in the ground. It'll always be waiting at attention and ready to water... Have fun!

Your plants love the WiserWand and so will you!
With the passage of the 1992 EPA Act, GPM became the standard for measuring efficiency of showerheads and faucets.
Bathroom faucets cannot exceed 2.2 GPM and showerheads cannot exceed 2.0 GPM.
To further reduce water usage, WaterSense certifies (labels) products that are 20% more efficient with equal or superior performance.
Setting a national GPM flow rate changed the market by requiring companies to develop more efficient products or lose market share. When companies compete on efficiency everyone saves year after year.
There isn't a national standard for outdoor watering products. Just what? Products are as inefficient today as they were in 1950. Set a standard and outdoor water usage will drop by 20% the day it's implemented.
It's time consider setting standards for outdoor watering products. If not now, when?

It’s easy to save water with the WiserWand because you water the root zone with pinpoint accuracy. The WiserWand stops waste due to runoff, evaporation, and wind that’s unavoidable with today’s hand watering products.
You’re in control of where the water goes. If you don’t want something water, it won’t get watered. Water when you want, water where it counts, water the roots! Time of day, temperature, and wind aren’t a factor. No waste, no rules, no guilt.

It's easy to save water with the WiserWand because you water the subsurface and eliminate waste due to runoff, evaporation, and wind.
No waste, no rules, no hassle. Water when you want. The time of day, temperature, and wind speed aren’t a factor.
Gardeners water deeper with less water and water less often. Watch Vennessa water and you'll be convinced.

WISERWATERING NEEDS YOU!
The WiserWand is a new product. The working prototype was completed in May 2016. Over the summer 56 gardeners "happily" watered their gardens. They loved it and so will.
The WiserWand is ready for prime time, but first funding is required to manufacture. To raise funds a Kickstarter campaign will be launched on April 5th.
Back the campaign and save water this summer and forever more. Remember the WiserWand is guaranteed for life. The first one you buy, is the last one, unless you want two.

Not only does it save water, time, and money, the Wiser Wand makes gardening accessible to children, seniors, and people with temporary or permanent disabilities.
WISERWATERING NEEDS YOU!
The WiserWand is a new product. The working prototype was completed in May 2016 and over the summer tested by Andrew and 55 other gardeners.
They gave it rave reviews, but there's no guarantee it will reach the market. WiserWatering is doing everything it can to make it so.
The next step is to launch a Kickstarter campaign in mid-March 2017 to raise funds for manufacturing.
If funded, backers will be the first to receive the manufactured WiserWand. Delivery will be the summer of 2017. The exact date hasn't been decided.
Please back the campaign and save water!

WISER WAND versus DRIP Water Usage
Steve used the WiserWand in 2016 and Drip Irrigation in 2013, 2014, and 2015, the September water bill for these years was compared by gallons-used. The City of Olympia, Water Resources Manager provided the gallons used.
WiserWand
2016 - 2,951
Drip Irrigation
2015 - 10,510 gallons
2014 - 5,715 gallons
2013 - 5,704 gallons
It's unofficial, but based on authenticity of the data the WiserWand used a lot less water. Is it a Fluke? More testing is needed.

WATERSENSE WORKS INDOORS - FAILS OUTDOORS
Watersense was formed in 2006 and the Smart Irrigation Controller is the only product with Watersense label. How many products inside the home are Watersense labeled?
For information regarding Smart Controllers click https://www.epa.gov/watersense/irrigation-controllers. At the top of the page Watersense states,
"Residential outdoor water use in the United States accounts for more than 9 billion gallons of water each day, mainly for landscape irrigation. Experts estimate that as much as 50 percent of this water is wasted due to over-watering caused by inefficiencies in irrigation methods and systems. Irrigation control technologies can significantly reduce over-watering by applying water only when plants need it."
Relying on Drip Irrigation and Smart Controllers to reduce outdoor usage is not , alone will not reduce water usage. 50% of outdoor water is wasted and millions and millions of gardeners hand-water. For mThere needs to be a high-efficiency option for all outdoor watering products.
Think indoors. There are high-efficiency options for every product that consumes electricity, natural gas, and water. The amount of water wasted outdoors is equal to the kitchen and toilet water usage.
It's high-time to move outdoors. Everyday outdoors high-efficiency products are needed Are irrigation control technologies the only way to reduce water usage?
It's time to re-think the evaluation of outdoor watering products. The first thing to do is to "drop" the indoor evaluation process. It doesn't work. One product has been certified outdoors. How many indoors?
To reduce outdoor water usage requires speed, agility, and a streamlined process of evaluation. Brainstorm. Develop a plan. Save water outdoors. It's your job.
Kickstarter campaign launching spring 2017 to raise funds to manufacture 500 Wiser Wands, hopefully more. Please support and next summer you'll save water. THE "WORKING PROTOTYPE" IS USED IN THE VIDEO. It was completed in May 2016 and used by 56 gardeners over the summer. It quickly became their watering tool of choice. It saves water and does much more, like staking plants!
Visit WiserWatering.com to learn more, watch videos, read the amazing benefits, and convincing testimonials.
It’s easy to teach children when they're having fun and watering is a perfect time for a practical, hands-on lesson in water conservation. Soon kids everywhere will be watering efficiently, as will their children, and in a generation high-efficiency products will be norm.
Saving water for the future starts with teaching children to conserve water and what better way to the learn than watering a garden.
