This show is a mess. However, as I expected much worse, I was pleasantly surprised. The performances are solid, some characters are interesting, and some scenes are so good I could watch them ten times a day every day. I must say I liked this movie ten times more than the first season of The Witcher series. Despite all its flaws, the main characters (Vesemir, Deglan, Illyana and Tetra) were really interesting and their motivations were understandable, even if often not admirable. My relationship with the whole Witcher franchise is slightly complicated, as I am not really a fan of the books, but still appreciate them as the most internationally known Polish fantasy novels. I know I am very late with this vid and you have already watched a million Shadow and Bone edits. Tbh, I wasn't sure I would make a vid with it because I am not really impressed with this show. Hear me out: Ben Barnes is amazing and the show is really pretty. But all in all it's a regular young adult fantasy with some Russian influence. Take away the tsar and you have a nice show, but as someone only vaguely familiar with the Grishaverse I don't really understand what the hype is about. It's pretty and all, and there are some interesting elements, but the main focus is a freaking love triangle. Like several other shows, I watch it only for the villain. I guess I am finally becoming too old for YA fantasy xD

I started working on this the day Evermore came out (with the original version of the song in the beginning) as this was my favourite Evermore song before I heard Right Where You Left Me. I had a clear vision for this vid from the beginning and yet got stuck almost immediately. I got back to this project during the last weekend and even thought it would be ready for the Valentine's Day, because who wouldn't want to watch a sad vid about unrequited love and unhappy relationships on the Valentine's Day. But I wasn't happy with the vid and changed it a billion times until I was, well not satisfied but maybe semisatisfied? Let me know if you think it is something to be semisatisfied with, because I am not sure :D

I uploaded this vid yesterday and guess what happened. I had to use my almost nonexistent music editing skills and now I am adding some anti-blocking charm for good measure.

I was planning to end last year on a happy note and I am instead starting the new one with a sad video (surprise surprise) but at least my vidder's block is over thanks to this song. When I heard it for the first time, I thought it describes how I've been feeling recently. Stuck in the past, never moving forward, thinking about what could have been, should have been, of all the wrong choices, missed opportunities and shattered hopes. But now when I've listened to this song for probably a hundred times, in some weird way it made me feel better and realise I have made progress in my life, even if in some ways it feels I have not (and even though I have been making Snape edits for over ten years now xD).

It's no surprise that I ship Destiel, as I low-key ship everyone with everyone in every work of fiction I ever read or watched. That being said, there are very few pairings I ship at the same level as Destiel (Bagginshield, Hannigram and SanSan are the ones I can think off the top of my head). Despite the fact that Supernatural has been super bad for a long time now, when in 15x18 Cass said "I love you" and later "Goodbye, Dean" it was at the same time beautiful, sad and infuriating. How many years have we waited for this, only to get a one-sided declaration of love and an example of the Bury Your Gays trope. Also, what the hell happened in the finale - I thought Cass would stay in the Empty forever, but if he didn't, why wasn't he in the finale? How many death scenes can one character have and then not stay dead? I know it's SPN but there should be limits to everything. Of course I would be glad to see Cass alive, but actually see him and maybe have some Destiel moments in the finale. I honestly hate this show (and I am already making another vid with it haha).

It's been over a year since I came back to YouTube and I must say it kinda feels like this channel has been stuck in the Empty as well. 339 subscribers gained and 284 lost. Out of 20 new videos only a half got more than 1K views, which is disastrously bad compared to how it used to be. On one hand I've been here long enough not to care much, on the other hand it's still kinda sad. So sending love to anyone who watched this vid, anyone who liked it or subscribed to my channel, and last but not least anyone who commented because comments are the best and they pull me out train wreck :D

Focusing more on ambition and strive for power and greatness than on Death Eaters, the Dark Arts and the whole "there's not a single witch or wizard who went bad who wasn't in Slytherin" nonsense. If I see one more Slytherin tribute with "devil" or "Satan" in the title I will vomit. Don't get me wrong, vids about evil Slytherins are fun to watch, but they too often make evilness look like a Slytherin trait, and we are not inherently evil. We are just overambitious.

I must admit vidding anything Harry Potter related leaves a bad taste in my mouth. For a moment I wanted to change the colours, cut all the snakes scenes and pretend this was not supposed to be a Slytherin aesthetics video. That would've been kinda silly though. I wish I had vidded Dark more, especially during its first and second season (I still think the third one was disappointing). They say better late than never, so I made this video focusing on some of the saddest moments.
