CDTImrfid722021-11-21 | SAFETY 1, Dont work on a car with it just on the jack. 2, Wear safety glasses when compressing the spring and always face it way from your head. This was a quick job, the misses said her car wasn't right and when I looked at it I could see it was lower on the front right. I then put the steering on full lock each way and had a look under the arch. I could see the spring was broken but also the sharp end of the spring had fallen of the spring platform and was near to the back of the tyre. You will need a spring compressor, and if you haven't got one then don't bother. However if you think about it, this job would have taken about 3 hours in a garage so its worth you buying a spring compressor and doing it yourself. The spring was only £34.99 which was £10 more than it should have been due to the quick delivery.Orchard Audio PecanPi® Streamer. Volumio, Raspberry PI DAC, Hi-Fi. The book only shows how to use a SparkFun LCD which is driven by I2C, so I thought it would be useful to see if I could get a normal LCD working. I started by getting the LCD working on an Arduino Uno using the library, then I wrote my own code then wrote the MicroPython code. useful links are: Wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitachi_HD44780_LCD_controller Ascii table: http://web.alfredstate.edu/faculty/weimandn/miscellaneous/ascii/ascii_index.html and programming via switches: https://protostack.com.au/2010/03/character-lcd-displays-part-1/

"Anti-roll bar linkage ball joint has slight play Offside Front Upper (joint)" So I hadn't got a clue what this was where it was and how much it would cost? So a quick look on eBay and I found the "drop links" for only £11.00. So I thought it was worth a go to replace them. (analogue offset problem)mrfid722021-02-14 | This should have been an easy first project but for various reasons it took days to complete and do the video. it turns out that there is an offset on the analogue pins which stops the reading going to zero, this in turn stops the LED's turning fully off. This also highlighted an error in the "Get started with Micro Python on Raspberry Pi Pico" book which they have now recalled...Soldering headers onto a Raspberry PI Picomrfid722021-01-28 | Real time soldering of headers onto a Raspberry PI Pico.Raspberry pi Pico, part 2 loading MicroPython and getting a program running.mrfid722021-01-28 | An honest look at getting my first program running on my Raspberry Pi Pico, made a little more difficult due to using a Windows PC. I encountered a couple of "problems" but these really just differences between other microcontrollers I have used. The fact that the program I put onto the Pico didn't run the next morning caught me out, but as explained this can be corrected by naming the program main.py Overall I was very happy with the installation of MicroPython and the speed of programming my first program, and now I need to have a good look at the Python language.Raspberry Pi PICO, a little look at the other options? Arduino, BBC Microbit, PIC.mrfid722021-01-25 | This is a little look at the new Raspberry PI PICO. I have been interested in microcontrollers for over 20 years and seen lots of new items come out. I started with the PICs programming in ASM, then moved onto Basic, then jumped onto the Arduino solution. But what about the Raspberry PI Pico?
